Anna Maria Island is 8 miles west of the city of Bradenton, connected by the Manatee and the Cortez bridges.

The City of Anna Maria is a residential community, situated at the northern end of Anna Maria Island. Our city is known for its world class beaches, friendly people and laid-back lifestyle. The entire city is a bird sanctuary and you can see many species of water and shore birds here. The aquatic life is remarkable too. You’ll find bottlenose dolphins and manatees in the waters, and the fishing, both for sport and for the table, is excellent. The beaches are also a prime nesting ground for endangered loggerhead turtles and many of our residents actively participate in their protection.

The island has 3 fishing piers, Rod and Reel, Anna Maria City Pier and the Bradenton Beach City Pier. If you prefer seeing the island or fishing from a charter boat, these services are readily available, along with various water sport activities. Anna Maria Island has a number of award winning restaurants. Locals and tourists all take advantage of those long lazy nights, eating fine food and enjoying the gulf or bay views.

Holmes Beach is located in Manatee County and is the largest of the three island cities on Anna Maria Island, which is situated on the Gulf of Mexico at the southern tip of the entrance to Tampa Bay. Holmes Beach stretches just over 3 miles with beautiful Gulf of Mexico white sandy beaches on the west and the intercoastal waters of Anna Maria on the east.

Bradenton Beach is a charming and vibrant community located at the southern end of Anna Maria Island. The city boasts miles of uninterrupted supervised public sugar sand beaches on the Gulf side and calm docking and mooring areas on the mangrove lined bay side.
